Accessible Transport Services (ATS) is the second arm of our business. It provides a door-to-door, home to school service for children and young adults with special needs.

We first started operating home to school services in 1998 when we served just four schools. Since then we have grown to be one of the largest operators of specialist transport within the West Midlands, carrying a total of 2,804 special needs children and adults to and from schools and colleges in the region.

The home to school service has a total of 404 fully accessible vehicles in the fleet and all vehicles are configured for the needs of the children and the schools. For example, if we have a request that a pupil has a severe health or behavioural problem, we can adapt the vehicle to carry a minimum of three pupils to ensure that they are safeguarded during their journey to and from school or college.

We operate the service for a total of 11 whole schools comprising of 243 routes plus an additional 131 individual routes. The majority of our home to school routes have guides provided and we also run routes where we provide our own guides that are fully trained to NVQ Level 2.

We serve a number of schools under contract to:

• Worcestershire County Council

Our aim is to expand our Home to School services by providing transport and expertise to local authorities and organisations outside of the West Midlands.
